TPU Paint Protection Film (PPF)
Structure: TPU PPF has a microphase-separated structure with flexible soft segments (polyether/polyester, ensuring elasticity) and rigid hard segments (diisocyanate + chain extender, boosting strength via hydrogen bonds). A top protective coating adds anti-scratch and self-healing abilities.

The Test of TPU Paint Protection Film
The puncture resistance test assesses PPF’s ability to withstand sharp impacts (e.g., stone chips, small debris). A testing machine uses a standardized sharp probe to apply force until the film is punctured.
High-quality TPU PPF requires higher force to puncture, thanks to its robust microphase structure (rigid hard segments + flexible soft segments). Inferior films (e.g., TPH) puncture easily. This test directly reflects PPF’s real-world protective capability against sharp hazards.
